Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz will present Georgia at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest (ESC).

Nika Kocharov

Date of Birth - June 22, 1980

Kocharov graduated from music school /art school.

His father Valeri Kocharov is a famous musician, whose name is connected with popularization of legendary “The Beatles” in Georgia. 1993-1994 Kocharov was accompanied his father, when Valeri Kocharov`s band Blitz had a promo tour in Liverpool.

Nika Kocharov’s debut on stage took place with the group Blitz, when father and the son performed “A Hard Day's Night,” of the legendary Beatles. That day Nika received his first gift - the audience gave him an acoustic guitar. He learned how to play the guitar on this unforgettable gift. He still creates music on this guitar.

In 2004 on the website - Nika`s Star was named as the best song of the year. In 2005 he signed a contract with a label in London. He participates in festivals and concerts. In 2006 Nika recorded the next album, this time in London.

After returning to Tbilisi, Nika formed a band, with classmates. After that he was a member of different groups.

In 2000 Kocharov took part in festival Mziuri with his band “Young Georgian Lolitas.” Members of the group have changed many times. Nika Kocharov and Levan Shanshiashvili remained permanent members. At present Giorgi Marr and Dimitri Oganesian are members of the band.

In 2003 the band created a film soundtrack, which became the best soundtrack of the year. In 2003 the group released the first album Lemonjuice. Soon they received business offer from London.

In 2011 Nika returned to Tbilisi and formed group - Z For Zulu. Nika released a new album, together with the producers Dimitri Tikovoi and Danton Supple.

In 2014 at Phoenix Caucasian Music Awards Z For Zulu was named as the best group. The band released three albums, which basically includes Nika`s songs. Also, video clips and album design belongs to him.

Nika has two children and spends his free time with them. He is a wounderful cook. He has a collection of guitars.

Giorgi Marr (Bass Guitar)

Date of Birth - May 1, 1984

In 2001 he graduated from Art College named after Iakob Nikoladze. In 2007 he completed Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, In 2009 - 2011 he learned at KABK Royal Academy of Art Den Haag.

2012-2015 - Festival Tbilisi Open Air - Chief Designer

2013 - Club RIFFER

In 2000 he founded group Str!Ng, with Dato Lomidze. In 2007 the group has released first album B52.

In 2010 he and Zura Javakhia have formed group ZurGi. The group took part in many music festivals and has released two internet albums. ZurGi existed until 2013.

At present, he works in the band The Black Marrows and in the group Young Georgian Lolitaz , as a Bass guitarist.

Levan Shanshiashvili (Guitar)

Date of Birth – November 10, 1984

He graduated from secondary school N 25, then the 3rd Music College. He completed Tbilisi State Conservatoire (Classical Guitar). In 1999 he formed an alternative group Chaos. In 2011 he established the band Kid Jesus. Since 2000 he has been playing (guitar) in the group Young Georgian Lolitaz. He is married with two children.

Dimitri Oganesian (Drums)

Date of Birth – August 17, 1979

He graduated from secondary school #168. He completed the Second Music School named after Zakaria Paliashvili.

Over the years, Dimitri worked with different groups. Currently, he plays in Young Georgian Lolitaz.
